Howling Wilderness contains the following: Discussions of the status of Civgov, Milgov, and New America, including current territories as of 1, a summary of available military forces, and a brief history of each in the years from to Maps showing the location of each major nuclear strike and details of the more important ones.
A state-by-state rundown of local conditions, concentrating upon what effects the drought will have on each. This sourcebook also contains a special bonus: Twilight Citymaker. This is a collection of geomorphic map sections of various urban areas. We have provided a nice selection of geomorphic sections over different ones for referees to photocopy. Using these geomorphs, referees can put together villages, towns, and fortified strongpoints at a moment's notice, or make them up quickly and easily ahead of time.

A general overview of the US. Bits of information without going into detail. Worth getting if you ever intend to head back to the US, other wise not that much use.
Ian B. An absolutely necessary supplement for the original T2K crowd. The tools it gives referees and players to craft stories in this region include: The region's history from the prewar years through May ; Detailed information on the agendas, leaders, capabilities, and territories of the region's four major factions: the Milgov-aligned 47th Infantry Division, the Cascadian secessionist movement, New America's Idaho cell, and the Soviet 62nd Motor Rifle Division; Several minor factions suitable as local color, adversaries, or allies; A look at the inner workings of Operation Egret, Milgov's fragile logistics network connecting its Great Plains and Mountain West holdings; Advice on running a campaign in the Pacific Northwest; New career options and personal equipment for civilian and military characters; and 22 new land, sea, and air vehicles appropriate for use in the Pacific Northwest and other Twilight: campaign settings.

Highly recommended work! Wonder if any of the unpublished GDW Twilight material such as Death on the Vistula or Armor that were assigned product numbers but were never published will finally be released? By the way: awesome supplement. Thanks, Thomas! At this time, I am not looking at a 4e conversion.
My spam filter erroneously caught the reminder email at the end of the Kickstarter campaign, so I missed my chance to back it. I'll pick up a retail copy to support my FLGS, give it a close read, and make my determination then.
Obviously, this sourcebook hinges heavily on the plot points of New America and the Soviet invasion of British Columbia, so I'll need to see how 4e handles those if it does at all.
Thank you for releasing this. I purchased it, and I have a question: What adjustments do I need to make to the timeline to bring the v1 timeline you used in concurrence with v2. Thank you. Hey, Dennis. My apologies for the delayed response. I don't think any timeline adjustments are necessary to make this module work for the 2. Page of the Big Yellow Book mentions the Joint Chiefs controlling an enclave in the Pacific Northwest, Soviet troops in cantonment in parts of Alaska, and active separatist movements.
As no equivalent to Howling Wilderness was ever published for 2e, I'd feel free to extrapolate those fragments into something that very closely parallels their 1e equivalents.
March 12, am UTC. Can work with 1st or 2nd edition. Lots of information to run adventures in that part of the US. Anyone with the older editions this is a great book to have. Thank you for writing this.
Is it possible to get this in paper format? While I can read a PDF having a computer, obviously I only use materials in printed form due to my personal quirks. And yes, Thanks very much for making this for 1E - its the only edition I have the later ones never seemed interesting to me.
I think it occupies a hazy middle ground. Just bought it and it's great. One thing he might want to edit, however, being as I grew up in the Tri-Cities, this is a really small thing to notice , is that up until the '70's, Pasco, Wa. On page 12, instead of sending oil west to Lewiston then upriver, they would have sent it all the way to Pasco, at which there is a deepwater port on the Columbia. Other than that slight oversight, this is a must buy for anyone who loves Twilight Burned by local knowledge!

Hope Marc adds it as official canon and while he is at it adds what Raellus has done as well.
Jason Weiser. Well done, am reading now. Good read overall and I am impressed. Will be posting a Module Suitability Post on Miles for the wargamers out there very soon Wish I had known it was coming out - would have advertised it in the 3rd issue of the fanzine - will definitely have a nice ad for it in the 4th issue.
When I saw that cover come up on my notifications be advised you made Ancestor feel like he was 14 again! Thank you! Originally Posted by Raellus. Originally Posted by Ancestor. I know that my discussions about it on another site, encouraged a few people to consider buying it so "word of mouth" is definitely working in its favour and as they say, a good product sells itself.
I appreciate the boost, SSC. It looks like it's moved a bit over 90 copies so far today, so it's off to a good start, and earning Marc some beer money. Originally Posted by Tegyrius. Rainbow Six. Teg, you've done a fantastic job here - it really is packed with awesomeness.
Jason - thanks for the plug on your blog, and I look forward to the wargaming suitability analysis. While I didn't specifically design New America Idaho for that purpose, I think their force mix would be an interesting challenge for a lightly-equipped i. Your criticism of the lack of maps is valid and expected.
I am no cartographer, and in the absence of free maps, I suspect that hiring an artist for that purpose would have cost me more than I stand to make on this product.
I used Google Maps and Google Earth rather extensively to try to make the geography make sense, but those aren't period-accurate. I did recently buy World in Conflict via GOG but I haven't played it yet and wasn't aware of the Washington campaign until you highlighted it.
I'm now rather interested to see how that plays out! The Battle of Seattle as depicted in the sourcebook was spun out of a throwaway line in the th Infantry Division's original writeup in the U. Upon activation, the division came under command of 8th Corps and on 2 August entered combat against Soviet forces attacking the Fort Lawton area from the north.
By late August, the situation was stabilized and the division was withdrawn from the front line to take over internal security duties in the Montana-Idaho region. This is really interesting and good. Now that I am reading it. It sets up some good ideas of adventuring in the region.
However, if I might offer up some constructive criticism if you decide to do a revised edition of this book. The refineries and the aerospace industry of Washington were destroyed in the nuclear exchange. Attached Images. He finds the bombs, I drive the car. We tried the other way, but it didn't work. Thank you for the input, Southernap. While I probably will issue an update for errata in a few months if there is need, I do not plan to make large-scale revisions.
