So i tried to root my lollipop 5. Is there a mistake in the Odin screenshot with the files placed? I followed the tutorial and had a CSC file, the screenshot you have appears not to have any files in that slot. The Odin screenshot was created on an older firmware. New time I show my appreciation for the work done, you can tell me which way you can release the bands blocked by ATT, and if a custom Rom can do? Ivan como lo hiciste? Con safestrap instale lollipop en una particion, pero el telefono no pasa del logo de samsung y no puedo acceder safestrap para intentar cambiar a la rom stock.

With lollipop safestrap installed in a partition , but the phone does not pass the samsung logo and can not access safestrap to try to change the stock rom. Doing this problem would be solved? Muchas gracias por su respuesta. If I install only the firmware work or have to add all components to the partition? Thank you very much for your reply. Buggy as hell with all the many random reboots. I am unable to flash the stock ROM now to get back to square one.

Odin gives errors Will this method work for me? That all said, do you think the steps in this article are worth trying? Because of my ROM issues, I did a factory reset and that really screwed me up. Lots of other issues. Way worse than before. I was unable to restore to stock using Odin and stock firmware from sammobile. Got errors every time. So as a last resort, I crossed my fingers, held my breath, and tried your tutorial. You totally fixed it, thanks so much!!

I use Kingo to root this phone. But when I boot recovery and try to install the ROM, it cannot be done. Thank you a lot. You are the best. I need help I have an sm-na and it was on 4. I was on 4. Up until 3 days ago everything worked great, now all of a sudden my phone will not connect to wifi.

Just go to the website from your phone, and click the red icon in the middle of the screen and it downloads directly to your phone. Glad I could help. I just realized that this version of kitkat is probably the bootlegged one from the past. I already had the official release on my phone before bricking.

Could I just use the previous version and then re-upgrade after everything is normal again? Seems like it was recognized with no issues. However, when I download the kitkat version of the above firmwares NAUCECMLG and extract the file, none of the above mentioned files that should be inside are there AP, BL, CP… and when I open odin and then open the N file within odin, none of the files show up because they have none of the correct file extensions.

Thanks for your help. The official KK is not available for download yet. We always suggest people to keep USB debugging enabled to avoid connectivity issues in situations like this. You can try it and if the device gets recognized in Odin, you can be successful in recovering your device too. Yes hello, is this the way to return to complete stock, cause i want to since i rooted and removed stock apps, and i cant update the phone, so would this bring me back to full stock and be as if i just bought it?

Android 4. How did you get this to work? Is there a way to install the leaked version of MLG 4. Trying to get back to MJ5 4. Sorry, I missed the KitKat thing. The method described above works on 4. Why do want to downgrade, by the way? Back to rooting. Would u guy happen 2 noe if this works for Verizon note 2 running kit Kat 4. Seems that you've wiped the OS from your device. Thank You!! Thanks in Advance BR, Shahid. I was recently looking up how to upgrade my note 3 which had the exact same provider as yours and the serial number.

I wanted to know if you managed to get round to upgrading it from 4. Rakesh, It sends me into a boot loop every time I reboot leaving SafeStrap.

Do you know why that might be? If you know of another fix… please let me know. I went to SafeStrap and was going to flash something, but decided not to. I can only get to safestrap or Recovery mode. I tried to do a wipe but still goes back to that screen. Hello, i have a question i have a note 3 na with android 4. If you want root, just go with the Safestrap method. Rakesh, One more thing. Any ideas? I might have really messed this thing up.

I did what it said about clearing cache and I might have hit a wrong button. Also it is saying that Knox has stopped.

Sorry to bother you with this. Everything went sooo smooth. I was afraid that I was going to run into something. Please help me! I after successfully completing this i want to restore to stock firmware no root. I simply tried downloading the original firmware and restore using ODIN but it comes as fail. Restarted completely. I followed every step. Once again, stuck on att logo. Wiping it doesnt work.

So I updated ota and now have lollipop. Att note 3. If I attempt this root is there a chance of brick in or messing up at all or will it wither just work or not work? I wanted to just downgrade to kitkat 4. If the 4. Yup, thats what i had to do. Now that im on kitkat which i want why does towelroot say device not supported?? So this applies to all that updated from 4. Since we already OTA updated to 5.

Some of us outside USA will never get att updates. For example my note 3 was still on 4. Now, would this trip Knox security flag? I know some stores will not accept my device if the Knox flag has been tripped.

Great work! So all this is pointless if there are no custom 5. This is all pointless once realizing I cant install a different custom rom lol. I reverted my na back to stock Lollipop. Runs better too. Id suggest no rooting until there are custom roms for 5. Quick question: I was on lollipop 5. I used safestrap and restored my back up, but its still oc1. Anything i can do? You can downgrade the bootloader easily. Restore ur ph to 4. Weird, your bootlader should have downgraded to NC2 also, mine did when I revertrd back to 4.

So according to this nice article, I need to flash four times to get rooted Lollipop. Is that correct? It will show up in restore if I change the file type to. Please let me know if changing the. I will give this new way a shot tonight! When I go to the tutorial to install the firmware, it tells me to download the Odin app on my phone. So when I go to the playstore, and type in Odin, the app comes up as 4. You have to use the Odin for PC. After change, wait for a few minutes at the ATT logo, will look as if frozen.

Easy fix is to pull the battery and restart the phone. Boots up normally after that. Any way to stop this from occurring? It has been tested by hundreds of users. Where do you get the dead robot error? In the stock recovery screen? I tried going to NL1 dead robot then to NC2 dead robot. All i can do is flash to NL1 then install Lollipop from external card to allow bootup firmware is OC1 again after this step. Individual files gives the same result.

Using the Volume keys, scroll to apply update from external storage option and press the Power button to select it. Confirm the installation and wait until the OTA is flashed. Finally, go back to the main menu in recovery and select reboot system now option. Download the single file NC2 firmware file from here and flash it using this tutorial.
